OVERPRINT OPTIONS:

Text Overprint

Great option if your cover needs custom text without ordering expensive stamps. A special foil is bonded with the linen. Similar to embossing but it doesn't dent the cover and is flat. Available in gold, silver, white, black.

Limitations:
Please notice that fine lines may get lost on thick, textured linens like premium pastel. Make sure your thinnest line is at least 1mm in width. Please observe the 4x6" box in the video above.
Since we use heat to bond it, it can't be used only on linens. Leatherlikes or leathers may be damaged in the process.

What we need:
During ordering process you will be asked to upload files for your overprint. In case of text overprint with a custom font (which we may not have in our library) we NEED to get ALL of these:
1. TTF or OTF font file
2. Layered PSD or at least JPG with text you wish to appear on your cover.
3. Color of the overprint: GOLD, SILVER, or WHITE
4. Placement of the overprint and text align. By default we will put it in the visual center of the cover.
5. Width of the overprint in cm/inches. This is really important!

A PSD with cover mockup and text position would be perfect.

In a perfect world our production team would love to get instructions like this:

Adam and Jane
1st January 2017

Color: silver
Text align: centered
Font: Roboto Slab (attached in .ttf)
Width of the overprint: 18cm on the 25x25cm cover
Placement: Visual center of the cover
Hugs!! :*

Graphic Overprint

Are you looking for a custom overprint that includes something else than a simple text, maybe your logo or your clients custom graphic? Great, but there is a little more work involved. Please follow our instructions.

It needs vector graphics (SVG, AI, CDR, EPS) instead of raster images (JPG, PNG, TIFF, GIF). Vector graphics are not sets of pixels with colors assigned to them but rather a description of lines, curves that can be understood by our machines that make overprint using chemicals. We know that you may not know a lot about vectors and how to prepare a proper file and we have found a super good and free online converter to help you out.

GENERAL RULES OF CONVERSION:
Use the biggest JPG you can even for text. The tool below will "trace" all the pixels into curves. The bigger the input file, the more precise the result will be.
All gradients will be lost and converted to a single black color.
Do not use backgrounds or shadows - they will be interpreted very badly.

OVERPRINT specifics:
Watch out for thin lines.
We require that the overprint line must be thicker than 1mm.
We recommend the line to be 1.5mm-2mm and we reserve the right to slightly thicken the font if the thickness of the line is less than required.
